This is a personal piece that I've wanted to do for a long, long time... but never quite had it in me to go ahead & show that weakness so bluntly.

I've suffered with this horrible illness for quite a few years now, but I'm happy to say I did beat it. Even though yu never really truely beat it, there's always those thoughts in the back of your head scolding yu after yu've binged on junk food... & I won't lie sometimes I have had to try really hard to resist the urge.
I just wanted anyone else who is prisoner to it to know that you're not alone.

I'd also like to make it clear that I'm not trying to glamorise the illness in this pic but more put across my personal representation of it.

I chose to have the image all in black & white apart from the candy/vomit because I feel it represents how it drains yu....

*WHERE IT ALL GOES*

Rupturing blood vessels
& two red eyes,
messy hands & collapsed pride...
Burning throat & a spasm of the tongue
fingers lodged inside
until I’m done.

...nothing in me...completely empty...

& as this goes on I feel that I’m weakening,
from the edge of my mouth
my life is seeping.
mascara run all over
eyes leaking...
head hung over this bowl
silently weeping.
